About Tregembo Animal Park

We are open 7 days a week through the Summer!
Tour the Tregembo Animal Park in Wilmington, NC – South Eastern North Carolina’s oldest zoo. The Tregembo family has owned and operated the zoo in the same location for over 60 years. George and June Tregembo first opened the park doors in 1952 with just a few species of animals. Today we have over 100 species of animals including giraffe, lion, tiger, zebra, bear and many more.

Explore our 4,000 square foot gift shop. We carry a wide selection of clothing, toys, nautical items and much more.

Discover ancient artifacts in our mini museum. Learn and have fun while examining dinosaur bones, fossils and historical information.

Hours

During the summer season (Late March to Labor Day) Tregembo Animal Park is open Monday through Friday: 10 am to 4 PM, weather permitting. The last admission is at 3 pm. Saturday and Sunday: 10 am to 5 pm, weather permitting. The last admission is at 4 pm.

Fall season (September and October) the Animal Park is open only on Saturday and Sundays, 10:00am to 5:00pm.

The Animal Park is closed for the Winter Season (November to Mid March).

Adults: $14+ tax
Kids 2-11: $10+ tax
Kids under 2: Free
